What would you do if you found out that you inherited a haunted palace? Would you keep it? Sell it? Would you gamble to spend even a single night there? I’m not sure I would but I might be curious to see how haunted it actually is. For Charles Ward and his wife Anne they had no clue. They ignored dire warnings from the locals and decided to see the place for themselves. After all they now owned it. Can you blame them? Well we can pity them. In this gothic horror tale, Vincent Price plays dual roles as the original owner of the haunted palace and the unlucky descendant who inherits it.

Are Monsters Driving Cars?

I know it’s been awhile since I posted but this is important! Looks like monsters are on the prowl again. But instead of lurking in the shadows or hiding under your bed, they’re driving around in broad daylight! It’s true! Monsters are driving around in cars. Don’t believe me? Each monster license plate was photographed this year. No I don’t have photos of Bigfoot yet, but let this be a warning to all. Monsters can drive and they have good taste in cars!

Hope You All Had A Safe Covid Free Halloween

Well now that it’s all over, (Halloween that is) I hope you all stayed safe and sound. Ordinarily I’d have wished you a Happy Halloween but I knew this year was going to be different. Very different. For many it meant no trick or treating. For others it was as extreme as no decorating this year. Some of you might have just stayed in your room, sucked your thumb and cried. Well, I’m here to say that it really wasn’t that bad at all. Okay before you throw stones my way I know that for kids it was the pits. But hey, mom and dad should have thrown you a party or a candy hunt or told you ghost stories or… ok. There is really no substitute for candy on Halloween night.

This year it was all about the yard haunts! Lots of people in my neighborhood really went to an extreme in setting up awesome displays for Halloween. Keep reading so I can share with you the newest additions to my yard haunt The Ghoulie Graveyard and how it looked this Halloween.

How To Build A Power Supply For Your Yard Haunt

So I’ve made LED flickering candles and LED spotlights for my graveyard. Now what? At this point I’m scratching my head trying to figure out how to deliver electrical power to my new creations. To the internet I go! This time I found a great idea on how to make a 12 volt power supply from a member of the SoCal Valley Haunters Facebook group. It’s really pretty clever and helped me power up my entire graveyard scene. Keep reading to see how I did it.

My stretch goal this year was to add LED spotlights to my Halloween yard haunt. It was a total gamble whether I’d be able to finish them in time for Halloween though. I’ve come to the conclusion that I must love stress because I decided what the hell. Let’s build them! Fortunately I found some great resources on how to build these.
