Every year in September, I get filled with anticipation awaiting the Fall merchandise (and more specifically the newest Halloween collectibles). As we all start getting busy with ordinary “life” stuff, like the ever depressing end-of-summer back-to-school sales, we sometimes run out of time or forget to check what new wonders have arrived in the stores to welcome the autumn season. Chipotle’s “Boorito” Costume Contest
What’s scarier than bats, ghouls and vampires? Processed Foods! That’s right. I’m talking about chemically altered foods like greasy french fries, sodas, and hot dogs. I mean, who knows what the hell is in a chicken nugget anyway? Well, this year the folks at Chipotle are sponsoring a Halloween costume contest to help warn people about the “Horrors of Processed Foods”. All you have to do is dress up in your favorite fatty food and visit any Chipotle on Halloween night from 6 pm to close. Take a picture of yourself (in costume) at Chipotle and submit it to chipotle.com/boorito between October 31st and November 8th. If you come in costume, you’ll get a burrito, bowl, salad, or an order of tacos for only $2. That’s not all. Grand Prize for best costume is $2500, 5 runner-ups will receive $1000, and 20 more runner-ups will get a burrito party for 20. You can find out more on the Chipotle Boorito Contest website. Now go put a chicken nugget on your head.

It didn’t take long for these delicious treats to show up in carnivals, circuses, and candy shops throughout the nation. Continue reading
