Not quite in the Christmas spirit yet? Still hungover from another great Halloween season? A surprising way to help you to ease into it is to pick up a book by Michael P. Spradlin called “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Zombies!” This frightfully delightful book has 2 dozen Zombie carols. For example, Deck The Halls With Parts Of Wally, and I Saw Mama Chewing Santa Claus are only a few of the twisted carols sung from a Zombie point of view. The book also has wonderfully gory illustrations from artist Jeff Weigel. It’s a good Christmas gift idea for that hard to shop for horror fan!

Pick Up A Pack Of S.L.U.G. Zombies
Don’t know what to do with that Target Gift Card you got for Christmas? I’ve got a suggestion. Mosey on down to the toy section and grab yourself a 3-pack or 12-pack of S.L.U.G Zombies. (S.L.U.G. stands for Scary Little Ugly Guys and boy are they ever!) I discovered these awesome little green zombies while combing through the toy aisle looking for Christmas gift ideas. I noticed the coffin shaped packaging and snatched one up. The front of the package shows one zombie and the back side showed all the zombies in that set. Apparently there are four sets! I was intrigued by how intricately detailed the design for each zombie is. Each zombie is unique and based on something from pop culture. For example Andrew Agony is a zombified tennis player based on former tennis star Andre Agassi. How about Grave Lincoln, a zombified version of Mr. Lincoln himself. Continue reading

The Walking Dead Season 2 Premiere Sunday Night!
I am eagerly awaiting Season 2 of what was my favorite show last year, The Walking Dead. The season premiere is on Sunday night so don’t forget to check your local listing for programming. Here in SoCal its on at 9pm on AMC. Need a recap of what happened last season? Go to AMC’s The Walking Dead Webisodes for that and much more, even some sneak-peek content. I know there has been worry about the quality of the show this season after Frank Darabont was fired from the production, but hopefully the studio execs will stay out of the creative process as much as possible and we’ll get what we deserve. Quality storytelling and terrifying zombies.
